I have been guiding homebuyers and investors through the financing process for more than 30 years. As a licensed Certified Financial Planner (CFP), I make certain that home financing fits with my client's overall financial plan. My background in financing apartment buildings and commercial properties has also helped investors. I had the great opportunity to work with a couple of my childhood friends on the purchase of their first home. They were set on using their credit union, but I decided to keep my lender, Bob Chiodo and Equity Home Mortgage in the loop throughout the experience...just in case! After three weeks of waiting, the deal began to fall apart. I talked with Bob; we worked the numbers and discovered a better program than the "special' deal offered by their credit union. I informed my clients, who were thrilled, and we set up a meeting with Bob. The next day and appraisal was completed, we sent the papers over-night, communications between Bob and his team were efficient, and three days later Bob was asking ME when we could close!
